Travel Safe in Cairns and Beyond
If you want to travel safe in Cairns while on holiday, on business or when being safe after a few beers you can’t beat picking up the phone to the reliable and friendly Travel Safe Cairns and Port Douglas owned by Angela https://www.facebook.com/travelsafetransfers.
A huge number of domestic tourists arrive from cities all over Australia from Sydney to Perth, Melbourne to Darwin for the school holidays and particularly in winter to enjoy the amazing climate of the tropical far north Queensland. And of course we get huge numbers of visitors arriving on boat and plane from around the world – but key destinations include New Zealand, China, UK and Japan.
Many will come and stay in Cairns to see our amazing Great Barrier Reef. Operators include:
Cairns is such a great city – while you are here you must visit our fantastic Rusty’s Markets on Grafton Street a locals favourite since 1975 for all kinds of fresh produce and more. Make sure to also visit the stunning Baron Falls at Kuranda – you will not be amazed expecially if just after rain!
A great way to travel safe in Cairns when you decide to move on from the city or to move up towards Trinity Beach is to give Angela a call on 0414 433 978 – Angela has lived in the area for over 20 years and is reliable and friendly.
If you head further north Angela will drive you on one of the most beautiful drives in Australia on the way to Port Douglas – a must visit location. Port Douglas is the only location in the world that bridges two world heritage sites – the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Port Douglas is far more beautiful than Cairns and you can explore the Barrier Reef from here too. Travel Safe guide Angela can help you with your whole journey 0414 433 978 just give her a call.
Once in Port Douglas you have some amazing place to choose from to stay and some great sights to see.
My pick of the local sights are:
- The Daintree Rainforest – book a tour with Tony’s Tropical Tours – one of the best operators of tours in the area. This is an absolute must while you are in Port Douglas. You can either do a short day trip into the Daintree with Angela if pre booked or you can book a night or more in Cape Tribulation at one of more of the amazing resorts you can find easily online. You may be lucky enough to see the elusive Cassowary if you are really lucky!
- Rex Smeal Park – watch the sunset under the park
- Four Mile Beach – a relaxing walk on the beach is just what’s needed early in the morning
- Mossman Gorge – get a lift with Angela to the Gorge and explore!
My favourite place to eat in Port Douglas are:
- The Port Douglas Surf Club – right by the beach – with a breeze to cool down and a bit more affordable than the main strip – but excellent food. The fish Tacos are the best in town.
- Salsa is the best restaurant in town – but book early to avoid disapointment -try lunchtimes when it is less busy.
Whatever your option is – be sure to pick up the phone or message Angela – she is so kind and friendly. She offers airport pickups and drops, and other service in and around the Cairns and Port Douglas area.
